Manager, Process Management (Finance Tech, Intelligent Foundations & Experiences)

As a Process Manager in Finance Tech, you will support the Well Managed Operational Excellence team by providing professional risk judgment that enables Finance Tech and its partners to tackle major company challenges. In this role, not only will you lean into your risk, technical acumen, analytical and problem solving skills by developing and deploying innovative solutions to mitigate risks to the company, but you will also grow your strategic and influencing skills as you create and implement strategies that enable our Finance business partners to continue to be well managed by reducing risk while improving efficiency and control effectiveness.

This individual will lead and engage in critical organization initiatives and projects and must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with Engineers/Tech teams and influence partners across several functional areas, including multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment are essential to succeeding in this role. The Process Manager will drive and motivate others in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects and reporting requirements. Knowledge of how to navigate regulatory requirements, enable automation tooling with an AI solution mindset, as well as the development and management of process controls, will be critical to maintaining a well-managed process.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior Technology leadership to develop well-managed documentation and reporting to support organizational needs and goals

  • Help drive Engineering Operations progress through the use of AI tools and capabilities

  • Work with our partners and stakeholders to proactively plan and communicate upcoming enterprise initiatives and monitor progress and impediments

  • Support ETB and Tech Transformation activities by tracking and resolving process breakdowns, issues and risk events across Finance Tech product domains

  • Manage and monitor enterprise tools to ensure enterprise requirements are in compliance with policy and standards

  • Promote strategic vision and execute tactical operations to enhance the well-managed culture across Finance Tech

  • Proactively engage team members and project leads to ensure system changes or enhancements consider Tech controls and Tech standards before implementation

  • Utilize data analysis to conduct process improvements in helping drive efficiencies throughout the organization

  • Proactively monitor Finance Tech compliance, resiliency, and Identity Access Management metrics, developing the metrics that are measured and analyzed

  • Identify and implement continual Tech program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices in alignment with Capital One's strategic risk direction

  • Champion ideas related to process automation and the consideration of relevant or emerging technologies as a means to mitigate risks

  • Support the Finance Tech team as the subject matter expert for identity access management across the technology landscape

  • Manage the Enterprise resiliency process for Finance Tech ensuring teams are prepared, participate and communicate with leadership on status and root cause analysis on any issues identified

  • Partner with key stakeholders and develop data governance framework and performance metrics to be implemented and communicated in Finance Tech

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 4 years of experience in technology project management, process management, or risk management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Process Management

  • 2+ years of experience in people management

  • Business Process Management, PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

McLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300 for Manager, Process Management


Richmond, VA: $122,100 - $139,400 for Manager, Process Management










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
