In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving machining processes to optimize manufacturing efficiency from raw material through finished parts ready for assembly. You will utilize Siemens NX to create 3D models, develop model-based definitions (MBD), and produce process documentation used by machinists on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, update, and re-process manufacturing operations to transition legacy processes to modern machining centers for improved efficiency and product quality.
* Create 3D models and Model-Based Definitions (MBD) using Siemens NX.
* Generate detailed process drawings and documentation for machinists and upload them into Solumina for shop floor execution.
* Collaborate with machinists and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and process efficiency.
* Support CNC programmers by developing model-based definitions and manufacturing documentation used for program creation.
* Track and report progress toward facility manufacturing goals and process improvement initiatives.
Core Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Proficiency in Siemens NX including 3D modeling, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and process drawing creation.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with machinists, engineers, and management.
* Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to monitor, track, and report progress toward operational or facility goals.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
* Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with CNC programming using Siemens NX.
* Experience developing or modifying post processors from Siemens NX to machine language.
* Experience supporting machining operations in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
