Summary of the Job:

This position analyzes and assists in maintaining and enhancing the various processes supporting the Electronic Payments Team. Serve as a subject matter expert for various processes within the Electronic Payment workstream. Coordinate and complete projects that range from process changes, system enhancements, compliance activities, audits, and procedure updates to support the changing needs of the department and the team.

About This Role:

Process & Procedures: Responsible for documenting and maintaining processes, procedures, workflow diagrams within central repository. Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of quality controls, process controls.

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and monitoring performance metrics
  • Coordinate process updates and improvements
  • Ensure control documentation aligns with processes and procedures
  • Provide input for capacity planning
  • Provide input for Skills matrix planning and lead quarterly employee updates

Projects: Leads tactical continuous improvement initiatives based on frontline operational knowledge. Collaborates with the team to Identify, prioritize, and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency and employee and customer experiences. Partners with the Business Process Analyst on enterprise-level strategic initiatives.

  • Use Continuous Improvement methods to identify and implement enhancements to processes within the department.
  • Be a role model for others during MDI, and Problem Solving
  • Facilitates Problem Solving sessions and monitors Problem tracker updates to ensure expected progress is occurring, updates documented, and ROE is completed.

Production: Maintain active proficiency in electronic payment processing to ensure documentation reflects operational reality and improvement recommendations are practical and implementable.

  • Process incoming and/or outgoing wire, ACH, or billpay transactions.
  • Process returns, recalls, disputes as applicable.
  • Ability to research and resolve incoming calls, email questions regarding policy/procedures while maintaining defined service levels and requirements in support of Business Unit partners.

Risk and Compliance: Key contributor to the following department functions:

  • Audit responses
  • Compliance testing and remediation planning
  • RSA's, AT 501, TPRM updates. Conduct operational statistical reporting reviews and partner with team to best publish this documentation.
  • Business Continuity planning

System Expertise: Develop and maintain knowledge of system/application capabilities to help provide operational support, continued development and training of new and existing team members/users and effective customer relations.

  • Investigate reported non-critical production issues and determine action items that are necessary.
  • Assist with problem resolution.
  • Perform or coordinate staff training of new systems or enhancements.

Establish effective working relationships with partners: (CTS, FNIT, Product, Audit, FNO Risk, and Compliance, Financial Crimes, etc.) within the organization to ensure excellent information flow and feedback on process, policy, and product changes that will affect our ability to deliver. (to our customers, team members, regulatory requirements, etc.)

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or 3+ years 3-5 years of production processing experience with demonstrated process improvement results
  • Experience maintaining process documentation and ensuring version control
  • Ability to monitor process performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for training staff and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings and process improvement sessions
  • Proven track record of building professional working relationships across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to escalate issues appropriately and follow escalation protocols
  • Experience with process mapping tools and workflow documentation
  • General knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
  • Project management experience with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate controls documentation alignment

Desired:

  • Experience with business process management platforms or process improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with process mining, analytics, or business intelligence tools

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $47,613.00-$78,560.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week.
