Job Description Summary
Apply process engineering knowledge and skills to support the synthesis of starting materials pharmaceutical intermediates and final bulk products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. Specifically, the Process Engineer is responsible for demonstrating process understanding, monitoring, and managing process performance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for established manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting, data analysis, and continuous improvement. Support minor process modifications and scale-ups while ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and production efficiency.
  • Apply core engineering principles-mixing, heat and mass transfer, drying, filtration, and material science-to optimize operations, eliminate bottlenecks, and identify opportunities for capital investment and productivity improvement.
  • Lead or support process improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and risk assessments. Serve as the process engineering lead on cross-functional teams, contributing to project execution and resolution of equipment-related quality events.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, health, and quality standards. This includes proper PPE usage, documentation practices, deviation reporting, housekeeping, and timely training to protect both personnel and product integrity.
  • Actively participate in and lead safety and quality initiatives, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Equipment Hazard Analyses (EHA), and inherently safer design efforts. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within engineering and operations.

  • Bachelors Degree in chemical engineering or engineering related field
  • Any chemical or pharmaceutical engineering manufacturing experience (preferred)
