This Position reports to:

Global Division Quality & CI Manager

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to deploy and lead the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams, with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will drive the local quality system through the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating the efforts of all necessary local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance and ensuring that the necessary certification requirements are met throughout the organization.
The work model for the role is hybrid, based in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada.
This role is contributing to the AUPI division in Canada. Main stakeholders are customers in the Mining & Material business.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the local Quality & CI strategy, ensuring alignment with global direction and business objectives.

  • Ensure quality is embedded across the full project lifecycle, from bid and engineering through execution and delivery, with a strong focus on risk management and milestone control.

  • Drive customer satisfaction by establishing closed-loop feedback mechanisms, enabling effective issue resolution and robust root cause analysis.

  • Leverage data, lessons learned, and structured problem-solving methods to improve execution performance, reduce cost of poor quality, and increase predictability.

  • Maintain and enhance the quality management system to ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.

  • Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams to embed quality practices and drive accountability for high-quality project delivery.


Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline like engineering or quality management.

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality, Project Management, or Operational Excellence within a project-based or engineering environment.

  • Proven experience in project quality management, including risk assessment, milestone reviews, and customer deliverables.

  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and audit practices.

  • Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is an asset.

  • Auditor / Lead Auditor certification is a plus.

  • Excellent communications skills, results-oriented, speed in execution, openness and listening to others.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.

  • French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
