Job description

Now Hiring: Process Improvement Engineer
Join the team at Eck Industries, a leader in aluminum casting and innovation for over 75 years. We're looking for a Process Improvement Engineer who will support the launch of new programs, drive process improvements, continuously improve casting quality, maintain required manufacturing certifications, and work closely with customers to deliver high-quality, premium casting products.
What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering, pattern shops, production, and internal teams to launch new programs and improve existing casting processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain job process controls, inspection methods, and quality standards to ensure product integrity and customer requirements are met.
  • Evaluate and refine production processes with supervisors and employees to prevent defects, investigate scrap, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality data using statistical and analytical tools (e.g., capability studies, gage R&R) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain quality management system requirements, controlled documentation, and readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits; lead supplier audits and corrective actions as needed.
  • Support product development and manufacturing operations by providing quality expertise, assisting inspections, and addressing quality issues throughout the production lifecycle.

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline required
  • 1-5 years of engineering experience in the metals industry preferred, but not required
