Summary:
Assists in the design, fabrication, debugging and verification of customer products as well as design solutions in development areas, including product design, automation, and test development.
Responsibilities:
• Make basic design related computations in support of design developments
• Write design specifications (requirements specifications, design specifications, test specifications, etc.)
• Follow engineering design methodology processes
• Follow project plan and report project status to leadership
• Complete design documentation (schematics, BOMs, etc.) for various design service deliverables, resulting in a product or tooling that supports the manufacturing environment, if applicable, to meet both the customers' requirements and the Benchmark manufacturing support groups' requirements
• Interface and communicate with internal customers regarding project requirements and status
• Assist with quoting and scheduling activities required to complete the design service deliverables

• Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
• 2 year Technical degree in electronics preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management; 5+ years of experience
• An intermediate understanding of advanced applications/technologies
• Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of the use of standard lab equipment, such as Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
• Demonstrate ability to create detailed design documentation, applying knowledge of industry standard practices
• Demonstrate proficiency in one or more test software application when assigned to test solution
• Demonstrate effective use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software, both electrical and mechanical applications, when assigned to support process automation services
• Demonstrate aptitude for design and fabrication methods
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of technology principles
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge in or more of the following areas: mathematics, electronics, mechanisms, CAD design
• Demonstrate very good problem solving skills and the ability to make sound independent technical recommendations
• Demonstrate intermediate level integration debugging skills for non-complex systems
• Available for travel up to 10% of the time, including day and/or overnight travel and work off-site at customer facilities

Compensation Range: $27.18 to $33.98 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
