Job description

Description
Sr. Process Engineer
GEOTEK manufactures engineered composite products for global infrastructure. We're looking for an engineer to own our filament winding process- driving continuous improvement, designing manufacturing tooling and equipment, and solving production problems independently.
What you'll do:
  • Own engineering projects from concept through implementation: process optimization, equipment design, tooling development, and troubleshooting
  • Lead design and development of manufacturing fixtures and production tooling using CAD
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives; challenge current processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Provide technical guidance to operations teams on root cause analysis and process issues
  • Develop production work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and best practices documentation
  • Support new product development and capital equipment evaluations
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams

What we need:
  • 5+ years in continuous processing manufacturing (composites/filament winding experience is a plus, not required)
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, GD&T per ANSI Y14.5)
  • Proven lean/process improvement mindset- you identify inefficiencies and own solutions
  • Self-starter who manages multiple projects independently and sets own priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, or composite engineering
  • Hands-on problem solver comfortable working on the production floor and in the lab

Nice to have:
  • Experience designing manufacturing tooling and equipment
  • Familiarity with thermoset resin systems (polyester, vinyl-ester, urethane)

Physical Work Conditions
Time should be split between the floor and the office or meeting rooms ranging anywhere from 25% to 75% on the production floor or engineering labs. While working on the floor there will be work with and around moving machinery, fumes and chemicals. Office work requires sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $98,174 - $155,239. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions.
Who We Are
For over 30 years, GEOTEK has been internationally recognized for industry leading composite technologies, engineering, and service. The company has grown PUPI® into the leading global provider of fiberglass crossarms and is committed to adding and developing other market-leading composite brands for the world's infrastructure. The company was founded in 1990 to manufacture and market Common Sense Fencing and other pultruded fiberglass products. PUPI (pronounced "puppy") is a brand of GEOTEK.
Using proprietary processes and several patented inventions, GEOTEK manufactures and distributes engineered fiberglass composites that are used by the transmission and distribution power lines and substations. The company is well positioned for sustained growth and profitability through market expansion and new product offerings.
