Job description

SUMMARY

The Process Engineer leads projects related to scrap reduction, new process development, sustaining engineering, capital equipment and technical support for Coaxial cable manufacturing processes such as polymer extrusion, tape/foil wrapping, wire braiding etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure cost, quality, delivery and safety targets are met
  • Evaluates scrap and waste in assigned manufacturing areas and drives initiatives for waste reduction
  • Ensures standard work procedures are established for Manufacturing and support processes to provide consistent production guidance and reduce risks related to safety, quality, and downtime
  • Performs Engineering analysis, Design of Experiments (DOEs) and trials to improve and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Leads or participates in capital equipment projects, including planning, procurement, design, installation, and qualification activities (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Coordinates with Maintenance, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and Operations to ensure safety measures related to area are compliant and effective

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 Years previous engineering experience in manufacturing, process, quality or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools (Green Belt preferred)
  • Experience with RF cables, coax assemblies, or high-reliability interconnects is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to turn data into action
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and collaborating across functions

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
