Position Summary:

Underdirection will assist in the evaluation and recommendation of  improvements to the injection moldingequipment and processes within to maximize our process offerings to ourcustomers. Work closely with Engineering to ensure compatibility of moldingequipment and parameters with all processing equipment. Scope of responsibilityand difficulty of tasks is somewhat limited and appropriate to the experiencelevel and expertise of the incumbent.
Specific Responsibilities:

*Develop systems and procedures to assure all injection molding equipment and related auxiliary equipment is properly maintained.
*Assist management team with capital expenditures and advice for the good of the division.
*Provide assistance to continuous improvement efforts, especially in the areas of processing and equipment. This includes research to advance and adapt new technologies, as well as the use of statistics to reduce costs, improve quality and efficiencies.
*Assist Product Development and Tooling Engineers in the development of new part and mold designs to produce the most cost effective product in the most efficient manner.
*Research, evaluate, specify and order equipment when directed by Management.
*Serve as equipment and process evaluator as needed to evaluate potential subcontractors.
*Support Production and Inventory Control, Technical Development Manager and Training Manager in developing training paths and programs for Setup Technicians and Maintenance Technicians
*Other duties as assigned.
