Salary: $90-120K DOE

Job Description

We are looking for experienced, self-motivated, results-oriented individuals that can successfully expand Phihongs OEM business. This position requires extensive exposure to customers and thus require excellent communication, relationship building and sales skills as well as power supply product knowledge and program management experience.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to directly develop new business with targeted Tier 1 OEMs on a national level. Your focus will be on uncovering new opportunities and winning new business, while simultaneously working to grow and deepen high level customer relationships.


The Business Development Manager will:

  • Develop an annual business plan to meet the targeted objectives.
  • Develop and execute prospecting strategies to identify new business.
  • Visit accounts, make customer presentations as required and develop solutions to solve customer problems.
  • Think strategically to Prospect, Develop, Qualify and Close new business opportunities.
  • Have heavy interface with Engineering & Factory for pre/post sales issues, effectively acting as Program Manager to ensure successful program development.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years outside sales experience in a high technology, hardware company.
  • Experience in program management and familiar with product development process.
  • The personal drive to "self-start" and work independently with minimal direction.
  • Excellent time management, follow-up, and organizational skills to successfully plan and execute technical sales activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and overcome internal and external objections at all levels.
  • Knowledge of strategic selling techniques and a "solution vs. price" approach.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Team oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage and interface effectively with cross-functional employee groups of all levels and competencies
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and multitasking skills to provide superior customer service which will include off hours communications with Asia as needed.
  • Must be detail-oriented and computer-literate in presentations, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Willing and able to travel as required to support sales goals. Domestic and international travel will be required generally at less than 50% of the time.
  • A provenhigh degree of honesty, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but a technical degree or other relevant experience combination with a degree will be considered.
