Salary: $70,000-$100,000
The Human Resources Manager owns and continuously improves Frontier's human resources function, including employee relations, recruiting, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. Reporting to the Chief Administration Officer, this role partners closely with leadership to ensure HR practices are efficient, compliant, and aligned with Frontier's values and business objectives. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sheridan, Wyoming. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. They enjoy building relationships while also driving projects to completion, improving processes, and creating an exceptional employee experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations & HR Support
Serve as the primary resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters
Manage employee relations matters with confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment
Guide managers through performance discussions, coaching, and documentation
Own employee personnel files and HR recordkeeping
Recruiting & Onboarding
Lead the full recruiting lifecycle from job posting through onboarding
Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate communication
Develop recruiting strategies that attract high-quality candidates
Own new hire onboarding and orientation to create a positive employee experience
Performance Management
Own Frontier's annual performance review process
Guide managers on goal setting, performance documentation, and employee development
Administer compensation review processes
Ensure completion of performance management activities across the firm
HR Operations & Compliance
Own HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates
Ensure compliance with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws
Manage audits, reporting, and HR record retention
Oversee required leave administration, employment notices, training, and compliance documentation
Organizational Development
Champion employee engagement initiatives and company culture
Develop training and professional development programs
Strengthen employee communication and internal HR resources
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead HR projects from planning through implementation
Design more efficient HR processes and workflows
Utilize technology and AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency
Create documentation and standard operating procedures for HR processes
Recommend improvements that strengthen organizational effectiveness
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
58 years of progressive Human Resources experience
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Dependable and self-directed, taking ownership of the HR function, adapting to changing priorities, and continuously improving processes
Balances empathy with accountability, building trust with employees while supporting managers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR certification and experience with BambooHR or another HRIS system
Experience owning performance management, recruiting, or HR process improvement initiatives
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
