JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Resource Development is a full-time, benefited leadership position with the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Wyoming responsible for leading, developing, and executing a comprehensive resource development strategy to support the Club's mission and long-term sustainability.
This role provides strategic direction for fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement efforts, while actively managing a portfolio of donors and partners. The Director works closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and staff to identify funding opportunities, cultivate relationships, and secure philanthropic support.
Key responsibilities include overseeing fundraising campaigns, major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants and special events, while ensuring strong stewardship practices and data-driven decision-making through advanced use of Salesforce.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic Leadership & Resource Development
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resource development plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Set annual fundraising goals, track performance, and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Lead and grow all revenue streams including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, events, and campaigns.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to diversify and strengthen revenue.

Donor Relations & Stewardship
  • Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospective supporters.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized engagement strategies.
  • Ensure consistent and meaningful donor communication, recognition, and retention efforts.
  • Partner with executive leadership and Board members to support relationship-building and solicitations.

Campaigns, Events & Partnerships
  • Oversee planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and giving initiatives.
  • Strengthen corporate and community partnerships to increase visibility and support.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities align with the Club's brand and mission.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and recommend improvements.

Community Engagement & Representation
  • Serve as a key ambassador for the Club in the community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business leaders, civic organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the Club at events, meetings, and public engagements.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to expand community presence and support.

Data Management, Reporting & Salesforce
  • Lead the use of Salesforce for donor management, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of donor activity, engagement, and campaign performance.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to inform leadership and guide decision-making.
  • Maintain data integrity and implement best practices for CRM utilization across the organization.

Team Collaboration & Internal Partnership
  • Collaborate with Club leadership and staff to align resource development with program needs.
  • Support a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff or volunteers involved in fundraising efforts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
