Job Title: Process TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Process Technician, you will develop and verify process settings and recipes to ensure stable quality and efficient throughput. You will be responsible for creating process characterization plans and supporting validation and qualification activities as needed. Your role will involve structured problem-solving using methodologies such as 5-Why, fishbone analysis, and DOE-lite.
Responsibilities
- Develop and verify process settings and recipes for quality and throughput.
- Create and support process characterization, validation, and qualification activities.
- Perform structured problem-solving using 5-Why, fishbone, and DOE-lite methodologies.
- Establish baseline performance metrics including cycle time, scrap, yield, and OEE contributors.
- Standardize operating conditions and document best-known methods.
- Support line balancing and staffing recommendations during ramp-up.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams for sustained improvements.
- Provide rapid response troubleshooting for mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
- Assist with changeovers, equipment alignment, and minor modifications within site rules.
- Perform sensor and actuator diagnostics and basic controls interface support.
- Support preventive maintenance catch-up and early-life failure correction.
- Identify spares, support critical parts lists, and update maintenance documentation.
- Engage with OEM and vendors during startup issues.
- Maintain downtime logs with failure mode categorization and corrective action records.
Essential Skills- Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience for Process Engineers.
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience for Process Technicians.
- Advanced process troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Ability to establish baseline metrics (cycle time, yield, scrap, OEE contributors).
- Strong documentation and standard work creation capability.
- Operator and technician support experience (OTJ training).
- Advanced hands-on troubleshooting capability.
- Direct experience supporting manufacturing equipment during startup or early production.
- Strong technical documentation and data discipline.
- Preventive maintenance and reliability mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Equipment adjustment and changeover support.
Work EnvironmentAll resources will start on the 1st shift with a transition to the 2nd shift. The work environment involves collaboration with various teams to ensure continuous improvement and operational efficiency. There is an option to extend or convert to a full-time employee after 6 months.

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
