A Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is a trained professional responsible for ensuring the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment within an organization. When working remotely, an RSO oversees compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, develops safety protocols, reviews documentation, and provides remote training or guidance to staff.
