Job description

The Product Analyst Intern will assist in the development of new product features, including emphasis on expanding and enhancing our telematics program, with goals of improving pricing, competitive position and ease of doing business for Plymouth Rock's personal lines products sold in the assigned market(s) for the Direct division. The key responsibility of this role is to assist the Product Manager by conducting analysis of complex business issues and provide recommendations for the implementation of new rating plans, improvements in the telematics program, new underwriting rules, process improvements, and other initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with analysis and reporting of rating features and programs.
  • Conducts competitor analysis.
  • Presents findings from research projects to leadership.
  • Assists with testing product implementation.
  • Supports data requests made by other departments related to products and policy attributes.
  • Collaborates with State Management and Information Technology teams to facilitate product and underwriting systems changes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Self-starter personality with strong desire to learn about the business.
  • Prior experience with SQL or comparable software is desired but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize quantitative approaches to analyze assigned business problems with high levels of attention to detail & articulate observations from the analysis.
  • BA/BS degree (or pursing) in quantitative field of study.

SALARY RANGE

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
