As a Business Process Analyst Intern working with the Business Process & Applications Management (BPAM) team, the candidate will focus on supporting global process change management through the development and implementation of standard business process documentation and training material:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and maintaining standardized business process documentation, including process flow charts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Develop and edit training materials, such as user guides, manuals, and quick reference guides.
  • Create engaging multimedia training resources, such as instructional videos, e-Learning modules, and presentations, using tools like Snagit, Microsoft Clipchamp, Articulate 360, Camtasia, or Adobe Captivate.
  • Conduct quality reviews of documentation and training materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Organize and maintain the repository for business process documentation in the Document Management System (DMS).
  • Organize and maintain the repository for internal process training assignments in HUB Learning Management System (LMS) and Tracker Professional Development Module (PDM).
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate information on processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Analyze feedback from training sessions or process reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with preparing communication materials such as email updates, newsletters, or intranet posts to support process or system changes.
  • Support Risk Assessments and help address gaps in competency or alignment with new processes.
  • Research industry trends, benchmarks, or best practices to support project initiatives and recommendations.
  • Support with facilitating project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and summarizing action items.
  • Act as a liaison between teams or departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and track project progress, deadlines, and deliverables, reporting any risks or delays to Project Managers.
  • Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area. 
  • Participate in actions that promote a safety and quality culture within NOV.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance of the company's overall objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by management and leadership within the BPAM group.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or higher degree program in one of the following (or related) fields:
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Project Management
    • Business Administration
    • Management Information Systems
    • Operations Management
  • Portfolio or examples of authored Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), training content, multimedia projects, or other relevant published literature such as research or white papers.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in creating clear, detailed process documentation and project reports.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle Cloud, Glovia, or SAP.
  • Competence in analyzing data from subject matter experts.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Visio Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Proficient with process mapping using Microsoft Visio.
