Job description

JOB SUMMARY: This position's primary responsibilities are to ensure standards of excellence in practice, provide overall staff supervision and training, and manage daily administrative and clinical oversight of the Youth Help Network program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Master's degree in a social science field plus at least four (4) years of experience in a behavioral health field, one (1) of which must be in a leadership role.

License or Certification

BBS Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist

Ability to provide Clinical Supervision per BBS regulations

Valid California Driver's License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to sit for long periods, up to 3 hours at a time.
  2. Ability to drive within the community in personal vehicles.
  3. Ability to physically perform ProACT.

POTENTIAL JOB HAZARDS

  1. Potential for eye and wrist strain from computer screen and minor lacerations from paper cuts.
  2. Repetitive movements - writing and typing.
  3. Interaction with potentially assaultive youth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties

  1. Hires, trains, and supervises team members as assigned.
  2. Provides on-going training, support, supervision, and evaluation of team members' individual performance. Ensures adherence to BBS requirements when providing clinical supervision to appropriate BBS-registered staff. Uses in vivo supervision as appropriate.
  3. Develops the program model's framework with the Program Director and works with and holds staff expectations within the program model's framework.
  4. Uses and enforces the use of destigmatizing language. Develops and implements an educational model to demystify mental health within the team and through interactions within the community.
  5. Maintains on-going relationships with other CBOs, health care facilities, placement centers, faith-based communities, and other resources necessary to affect the continuum of care for youth and TAY and families in the community.
  6. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of services within the electronic health record. Ensure timely completion of all required reports and documentation by regulatory bodies.
  7. Availability by phone to assist in crisis intervention and provide support and assistance in problem resolution.
  8. Manages grievances received.
Participates as a member of the Capital Star Management Team. Attends regular management meetings; prepares and presents program data at TQM meetings. Regularly meets with supervisor to share and problem solve program and management issues.
