Job description

Part-time position (12 hours/week) in a small, private school for a qualified and experienced Principal. Must have a Christian background or knowledge thereof. Must be a United States citizen, can commute to Upper Marlboro, Maryland in a timely fashion. The school Principal reports directly to the President/CEO, plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for students, teachers, and the entire school community. If you are considering this position, your dedication to fostering a positive learning environment will be essential! Other qualifications include:

Education and Experience:

o Bachelor’s or Master's degree in education, administration or a related field.

o Experience with conflict resolutions, Parent/Student Handbooks, and soliciting grants for school advancement

o At least 3 years of experience in teaching and/or school administration.

o Experience with accreditation policies and procedures (ACSI)

·Skills and Abilities:

o Strong leadership, organizational and management skills.

o Effective communication, interpersonal and recruiting skills.

o Ability to analyze grades, other data, conduct performance evaluations, teacher's meetings, and make informed decisions.

o Knowledge of educational policies, curriculum review and school budgeting.
