Founded in 1997, the Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) is a leading after-school math program, serving over 90,000 students across more than 80 branches in the U.S., Canada, and Israel. At RSM, we care deeply about math education. Featured byNPRandThe Atlanticas a leader in the "math revolution," and ranked among the best schools in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, RSM helps children of all levels build a solid foundation in math while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

As part of this mission, we develop a wide variety of products that require editorial work-from classroom posters and test problems to student reference books-spanning Elementary School through Algebra, Geometry, and up to AP Calculus and math competition preparation.

As the number of products we create continues to grow, we are looking to expand our editorial team and hire aHigh School Math Editor.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit mathematical content developed by our content teams for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to formatting standards.
  • Maintain consistency with our style guides, particularly in mathematical notation and editorial conventions.
  • Identify and raise content-related issues, and collaborate with the content team to discuss possible improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Track project timelines and manage the progress of editing tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Solid knowledge of grades 8-12 mathematics (including key subjects and terminology)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in math editing.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively.
  • 7-12 classroom teaching experience is preferred.
