Fuquay Ophthalmology & Glaucoma is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our established physician-owned practice in Fuquay-Varina. As the first person our patients meet, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys getting to know patients, takes pride in staying organized, and is looking for a long-term home in a friendly, physician-owned practice.
What You'll Do
· Welcome patients and provide an exceptional check-in and check-out experience.
· Schedule appointments and answer multi-line phones.
· Verify insurance eligibility, update patient records, and collect copays.
· Assist with prior authorizations and other administrative duties after training.
· Work closely with the physician and team to ensure a smooth patient experience.
· Receive cross-training in other front office responsibilities as you grow in the role.
What You'll Bring
· Medical front desk experience preferred.
· Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required.
· Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and scheduling systems is preferred.
· Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused with excellent customer service skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Comfortable learning insurance verification, Medicare guidelines, office procedures, and electronic workflows.
· Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented, with a process-driven mindset that ensures accuracy in patient information, scheduling, and insurance documentation.
