Job description

Branch Support Quality Engineer

Mishawaka, IN

Compensation: $75K–85K base for most hires, with flexibility for exceptional experience, plus monthly bonus and full benefits.

What you’ll do

  • Own quality issues coming out of South Bend and the branches: sort the data, prioritize, and drive true root cause and corrective action.
  • Maintain and improve quality metrics, charts, and reports so leadership can actually see trends and act on them.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects that reduce escapes and rework across multiple branches.
  • Partner with operations, inside sales, and branch leadership when a customer has a problem—help contain, communicate, and fix.
  • Support audits, customer requirements, and compliance expectations in a regulated, ITAR‑controlled environment.


What good looks like

  • You are comfortable on the shop floor around metals, processing equipment, CNC/CMM, and measurement tools—not just behind a desk.
  • You like sorting through messy quality data, spotting patterns, and turning that into practical fixes with operators and supervisors.
  • You can explain a quality issue clearly to a customer, a machine operator, and a GM without losing the plot or the relationship.


What you bring

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing or metals / industrial environment in a Quality Engineering or closely related role.
  • Experience with tools like root cause analysis, 8D, PPAP, FAI, and corrective actions; CI / Six Sigma exposure is a plus.
  • Comfortable with drawings, specifications, and tolerances; prior exposure to aerospace, automotive, or similarly demanding customers is helpful.
  • Ability to work in an ITAR‑controlled environment (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
