Job Goal

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor the Press Operator is responsible for set up and operation of the print press equipment including machine adjustments, operator preventative maintenance, quality control, maintaining accurate records.

Main Duties

  1. Capable to conduct the duties as Press Operator.
  2. Duties Setup printing press accurately and timely/set impressions
  3. Run quality print with minimal scrap
  4. Setup and run AVT/Ruby inspection station
  5. Provide technical assistance on print jobs
  6. Determine basic film alignment adjustments to the printing press and make such adjustments
  7. Perform basic film and print quality checks and determine proper corrective actions
  8. Perform Delta E color data entry in computer
  9. Maintain expected 5’s and housekeeping standards.

Additional Duties

- Use forklift and other material handling equipment in the movement of materials

- Report unusual conditions or circumstances to supervisor

- Perform assignments in the conformance with health and safety requirements

- Perform other related duties as required or directed

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 5X0 lbs.

- Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift on concrete floors

- Ability to push/pull 20-55 lbs.

- Frequent reaching, bending, and climbing

- Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms

Skills & Abilities Needed

- Must have good attendance

- Knowledge of printing processes and proven ability to apply that knowledge

- Basic computer skills

- Good communication skills, verbal and written

- Must be able to work overtime as needed
