Job description

Job Title: IT Support & Systems Apprentice
Position Summary
The IT Support Apprentice provides first-level support for technology systems throughout the organization. This role assists with help desk requests, hardware maintenance, system updates, inventory management, and technology projects while pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field of technology. The apprentice works closely with IT team members to build technical knowledge, business understanding, and professional skills that support future career growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for IT support requests and assist users with technology-related issues.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, and other issues.
  • Assist with end-user system updates, software installations, and workstation configuration.
  • Conduct hardware inspections and perform routine physical maintenance of computers, displays, printers, and related equipment.
  • Support inventory management by tracking technology assets, equipment assignments, and hardware lifecycle activities.
  • Assist with setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of display technologies and equipment.
  • Support connectivity, software, and operational needs of 3D printing technologies.
  • Provide additional coverage for IT support activities during peak workloads, vacations, or special projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional, international project teams and contribute to improvement initiatives.
  • Document support activities, issues, and resolutions to maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with apprentices at other STOBER locations around the world
  • Update and maintain Anny scheduling software and devices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Education Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or willing to pursue a bachelor's degree in:
    • Cybersecurity
    • Computer Information Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Related technology field

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general business technology.
