Job description

As a global marketing experience company, Quad’s goal is to help our clients win every day. We use our data-driven integrated marketing and manufacturing platform to streamline solutions for our clients, reduce friction and enhance their marketing spend effectiveness. We’ve built a rich legacy by believing in our people, allowing them to act like owners and to take charge of their own success. Whether an operator, sales rep, a graphic artist or a clinician, we’re all driven to perform at our best— for ourselves and our clients. At our core, we’re a company that believes we can always create a better way.

Quad is seeking a Night Shift General Laborer Ink Manufacturer for our Hartford, WI CR/T location  (please note this is not the Print Plant off of Hwy. 60).

About CR/T

Founded in 1982, Chemical Research/Technology (CR/T) is Quad’s ink manufacturing subsidiary.  As one of the largest ink manufacturers in the country, it is responsible for the development, testing, and support of inks, coatings, and related materials used in Quad’s print and manufacturing operations. The team focuses on formulation, material performance, and process compatibility to ensure consistent production outcomes across platforms.

About the Role

Join a specialized team at Quad's CR/T facility, where we manufacture the resins and inks that power our printing operations nationwide. As an Ink Maker, you’ll play a key role in manufacturing the ink by the use of manufacturing equipment such as vertical post mixers, twin screw extruders, horizontal bead, and 3 roll mills, as well as dry powder feed systems. Other responsibilities include forklift operation, along with railcar and tanker truck unloading.   The starting wage for this position is up to $20.00 / hour or more, depending on experience.  You will receive an additional $3.00 night shift premium for working the night shift. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environment—not a traditional print shop.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work a 12-hour night shift, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. (Monday-Wednesday) , with opportunities for overtime.
  • The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in pigment ink manufacturing is desirable; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows-based software is strongly desired.
  • The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater is required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay with overtime opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
  • Paid time off, paid parental leave, and short-term disability.
  • 401(k) with annual discretionary company match.
  • Adoption & surrogacy support, pet insurance, and more.
  • A culture that values innovation, safety, and long-term career growth.

Ready to join a team that values your skills and supports your growth? Apply today and become part of Quad’s commitment to excellence in ink manufacturing.

We offer comprehensive benefits for eligible employees including medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings, paid time off, holidays and additional benefits.
