Provide quality system support to manufacturing operations to ensure high quality products are shipped to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide guidance to the quality lab staff.
  • Responsible for the management of the day‑to‑day activities in the quality lab.
  • In‑depth investigation and problem solving on internal and external complaints.
  • Initiate and supervise waste/scrap reduction projects.
  • Initiate and supervise cost savings projects.
  • Generate reports and presentations to be used for process improvement or cost justifications.
  • Assist with resolving internal and external issues during trials.
  • Support customer‑driven initiatives.
  • Participate in external audits (customer and 3rd‑party audit facilities such as FSSC 22000, IMS, etc.). This includes arranging audits, training, preparation, issue close‑out, reporting, tracking, and escalation of findings.
  • Participate in internal audits (quality system and GMP). This includes arranging audits, training, preparation, issue close‑out, reporting, tracking, and escalation of findings.
  • Administrate and maintain the internal, supplier, and customer notification system, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date entries.
  • Take necessary steps to ensure notifications are addressed and closed‑out in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate returned‑goods valuation and management; track material dispositions and follow‑up if dispositions are not made within a reasonable time.
  • Participate in the daily internal notification meetings.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Notification Coordinator, set and monitor duty priorities, reassign duties, and coordinate backup activities during out‑of‑office periods.
  • Adhere to all relevant health, GMP and safety policies, acting as a safety leader and ensuring all work activities comply with Amcor safety and GMP requirements.
  • Facilitate and enforce all company policies and procedures as outlined and defined.
  • Perform all other duties and/or projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in industrial/manufacturing application or quality assurance preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in blown film, flexo printing, and/or adhesive lamination.
  • Quality related experience preferred.
  • Acquire green belt status, as a minimum.
  • Effective communication skills to execute quality programs and communicate with employees at all levels of the plant.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make quick and appropriate decisions.
  • Collaboration and influencing of peers, production staff and leadership.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong team leadership with ability to manage, coach, and develop people, talent and skills.
  • Demonstrate energy, empowerment and execution.
