What does a print estimator do?

A Print Estimator is responsible for calculating the costs involved in printing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses. They analyze customer specifications, prepare detailed price quotes, and help ensure projects are completed within budget. Print Estimators often work closely with sales teams, production staff, and customers to clarify requirements and provide accurate estimates. Their work is essential for planning, bidding, and maintaining profitability in printing businesses.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a print estimator, and why are they important?
