Job description

JOB IS LOCATED IN RICHMOND, VA AREA. GENEROUS RELOCATION IS PROVIDED.


Premier commercial and direct mail printing company in VA is busy. Due to client demand the company is searching to hire an experienced Print Estimator/Production Planner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide accurate and timely estimates and production plans in response to RFQ's and price request changes.
  • Work with production depts. to review program specs and gather the required information to produce estimates using a leading Print Management System.
  • Adjust estimates based on experience and knowledge for better production and lower cost, adding necessary steps to achieve desired results.
  • Gather competitive pricing from vendors for materials ad services required including quotes from several sources for comparison.
  • Prepare detailed production plans based on client specs, ensuring cost, quality and deadlines are met.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in the offset printing industry with strong cost estimating and production planning background.
  • Working knowledge of Print Management System such as EFI/Monarch/Hagan/PACE etc.
  • Working knowledge of offset commercial and digital printing processes and terminology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail required.
  • Able to manage several on-going projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.


Starting salary range $65,000 - $80,000 + benefits, 401k, healthcare benefits, and relocation package.
