What is architectural cast stone?

Architectural cast stone is a highly refined form of precast concrete used to simulate natural cut stone in building construction. It is manufactured by mixing cement, fine and coarse aggregates, and coloring pigments, which are then cast into molds to form architectural elements like columns, balustrades, cornices, and decorative features. Cast stone is valued for its versatility, durability, and ability to replicate the appearance of various types of natural stone at a lower cost. It is commonly used in both new construction and restoration projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of buildings.
