This role is remote but will report to our Corporate Office in Sarasota, FL, and does require some travel

Position Description

Title: Product Manager

Status: Exempt

Position Purpose:

Develop, and execute product line strategies and initiatives, by leading a cross-functional team, which drive Sales and Profit growth and Long-Term Sustainability of the Product Line.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the Product Line Profit and Loss of assigned product line(s).
  • Champion development of a product line strategy for key items.
  • Become a market expert in the customers and end users in targeted market segments.
  • Define target markets, competitors in those markets, competitive products with features and benefits and compare to company products, product pricing positioning and improvements that must be made to enhance product line performance.
  • Drive the development and introduction of new products into the markets targeted ensuring fitness for use in design, appropriate cost to meet the targeted price point, proper packaging and development of key features and benefits information for marketing and sales support.
  • Continuously analyze the product line to rationalize products to drive a reduction in complexity.
  • Develop and execute the tools and training needed to develop and maintain sales force competency to drive new product sales and provide superior customer service.
  • Identify new sourced and manufactured products needed to profitably grow key product lines.
  • Drive cost reductions or improvement in design of existing products based on changing market needs.
  • Lead an effective high-performance business team to deliver objectives.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Facilitate new item set-up, pricing approvals, quoting and other sales support as needed.
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in Product Management or related experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for product lines being managed and a bias for action.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving change and holding others accountable for results.
  • Business acumen and experience managing and improving P&L results.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting set deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required to travel ~25% of the time, some international travel.
