Job description

Principal Technical Product Manager - Consumer Product & Innovation, Nike
Beaverton, OR-USA
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As Principal Technical Product Manager, you will own technical products in Design as part of Consumer Product & Innovation (CP&I), the technology engine behind Nike's product creation, merchandising, design, and innovation. You will partner closely with Design and Business Integration teams across Nike, Engineering, Architecture, and Program Management to bring Design's vision and business outcomes to life. You will also work shoulder-to-shoulder with peers across CP&I and adjacent product organizations to align capabilities, evolve foundational tools, and shape the next generation of Nike's Design capabilities across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a seasoned product leader who deeply cares about their stakeholders, leads through craft, clarity, technical fluency, and broad influence, not through direct authority. You build a multi-year vision, with the discipline to deliver measurable outcomes one quarter at a time. You are equally comfortable shaping the future Product and Technology landscape, architecture with engineering and simplifying complex problems for executives, while partnering closely with Design users to turn workflow needs into products.
You have led complex product roadmaps, with measurable business outcomes and KPIs. You have earned the credibility to influence across product organizations that you do not directly manage. This is an individual contributor role. You will set direction, raise the bar of PMs across CP&I through informal mentorship, and lead through expertise rather than people management.
Key Qualifications :
  • 8 to 12+ years of product management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training; advanced degree preferred
  • Deep Subject Matter Expertise & experience in Design tools (2D/3D, Adobe, CLO, AI tools etc.)
  • Proven experience in developing complex roadmaps, establishing measurement frameworks, product management best practices, and delivery of significant business impact
  • Ability to influence and shape thinking of senior business and technical leadership within and outside the Design
  • Experience with and/or ability to quickly learn complex systems and landscape
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, specifically SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum
  • Exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI applied to enterprise product workflows
  • Experience working on global products in consumer, footwear, apparel, or retail domains

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As Principal Product Manager, you will own and lead a critical product(s) that enables the future of Design at Nike. You will lead its long-term product direction, business outcomes, technical evolution, delivery, and adoption. You will be a hands-on product leader, defining how the product integrates with the broader Design and CP&I ecosystem and delivers measurable value to its users and the business. Key accountabilities include,
  • Partner with Design leadership to align on strategy, business outcomes, 'highest value' opportunities and define the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Champion Product vision with Design and Global Technology leadership
  • Drive disciplined product discovery, deeply engage in functional, technical design, delivery, and rollout, including change management, and adoption
  • Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to align on 'Key design decisions'
  • Align roadmaps and trade-offs with peer product teams across CP&I. Represent your platform in cross-org and global forums
  • Deeply partner with vendors and technology partners to support prioritization of their features, aligned to Nike's needs
  • Push the boundaries of Design Tech by bringing new technologies like Gen/AgenticAI, and 3D into your roadmaps, where applicable
  • Obsess product adoption, value tracking and business metrics/KPIs
