Requisition Summary
The Maintenance Technician is a vital member of a small, cross-functional team responsible for maintaining all building and production equipment. This role requires versatility and a proactive approach to support plant operations, including robotic welding and robotic material handling systems
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repair of industrial production equipment, including robotic welding cells and robotic material handling systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Implement equipment upgrades and modifications to improve safety, product quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Train production associates on the safe setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of production and robotic equipment.
  • Assist with the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and repair production hand tools and support tool control procedures.
  • Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives for production equipment, processes, and the preventive maintenance program.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical industrial equipment using schematics, drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic and pneumatic power systems.
  • Solid experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical power and control circuits.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electronics, including PLC troubleshooting and basic programming (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience with industrial robotics, including robotic welding and robotic material handling systems; Fanuc experience preferred.
  • Capable of steel fabrication using saws, torches, welders, mills, and lathes.
  • Computer literate; comfortable using diagnostic software, programming tools, CMMS, and basic Microsoft applications.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe maintenance practices and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as business needs require.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience required.

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
