Role Overview

The main function of an AI Robotics Engineer is to create, deploy, and maintain AI and machine learning models. This role will support Embodied AI and Robotics research, working to advance the state of the art in robotic learning and foundation models. The position involves fine-tuning and improving sophisticated software implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement the test automation infrastructure.
  • Develop training and evaluation pipelines using Azure Machine Learning.
  • Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications.
  • Develop tools to provide fast deployment of novel algorithms in simulation and on hardware.
  • Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks.
  • Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.

Experience: 5-7 years of related experience is required.

Technical Skills: A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design is necessary. Experience with using simulation environments or robotic hardware is required. Candidates must have experience in programming and with problem diagnosis and resolution. A background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is also required.

  • PhD level work or studies in a robotics lab.
