Job Summary

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide exemplary personal care and companion care to elderly clients in Prince William County. Previous experience with dementia is highly desired. Care will include assistance with ADLs and companion care. Includes assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, accompanying to appointments, medication reminders. Companion care also includes games, reading, memory care, conversation, and accompanying seniors on walks. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
  • Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
  • Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have MCNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
  • Requirements:
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Pass a background check and drug screen
    • Current Driver's License
    • Current TB test
    • Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas
    • Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
