Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 PM – 4:30 AMWe are seeking an experienced and driven Press Assistant Manager to lead our production team. In this role, you will oversee Press Supervisors on your shift, ensuring our highly automated facility operates at peak efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in automotive metal stamping and a passion for process improvement.Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing stamping and at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of dies, tooling, and multi-ton press operations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen) practices is required.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; an industry-accredited program certificate is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency in fundamental computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform strenuous lifting (35 lbs to 50 lbs).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement by decreasing process scrap, minimizing changeover times, and reducing downtime.
  • Production Management: Ensure adherence to production schedules and maintain quality standards. Track performance data to benchmark success and implement process improvements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce health and safety protocols and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support to resolve issues impacting daily production and maintain efficient output.
  • Reporting: Facilitate communication regarding manufacturing achievements and prepare weekly production reports.
