Job description

Company Description

Agri Technovation Incorporated is the California business of the Agri Technovation Group, an international precision agriculture and specialized crop nutrition company operating across Africa, the Americas, and Australasia.

We are a profitable, high-growth business with a client-obsessed culture and a mission of “Improving grower profitability through science and technology.”

Entrepreneurial by nature, we move quickly, solve problems, embrace innovation, and build long-term client relationships through exceptional service and technical excellence.

Position Summary

The Vice President Operations is one of three senior executive leaders of Agri Technovation Incorporated and reports directly to the Joint Global CEO responsible for operations, finance, and business support functions. The role provides broad executive leadership for the non-sales side of the California business, with direct operational responsibility for manufacturing, laboratories, field services, supply chain, and logistics.

The Vice President Operations will work alongside the President & Vice President of Sales and the Secretary & Controller as part of the three-person senior leadership team. The role will also coordinate closely with Group support functions across finance, HR, IT, data analytics, legal/compliance, product formulation/QC, project engineering, and related business support areas.

This is not a traditional operations management role. We are seeking an entrepreneurial business leader who enjoys building organizations, leading people, improving systems, solving problems, and delivering results in a fast-growing business.

The successful candidate will ensure that the company’s operational platform supports profitable growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, client service, and compliance. They will also collaborate with colleagues across other Group companies and support functions, promoting the open exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices.

The Person We Are Looking For

This role will appeal to someone who enjoys building businesses rather than simply managing established systems. The successful candidate is likely to be:

  • Highly entrepreneurial, energetic, and action-oriented.
  • Practical, hands-on, and comfortable making decisions.
  • Passionate about building teams and developing people.
  • Naturally curious and continuously seeking better ways of working.
  • Comfortable in a fast-growing business where priorities and requirements evolve.
  • Equally comfortable discussing strategy with executives and solving operational problems with frontline employees.

We are looking for someone who gets things done.

Experience

The successful candidate will typically have:

  • Significant leadership experience in entrepreneurial, high-growth businesses.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proven record of improving business performance.
  • Experience managing operational budgets and business performance.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling or growing a business.

Candidates who have owned, built, or successfully managed their own businesses, or held broad operational leadership roles in entrepreneurial organizations, will be viewed particularly favorably.

Experience gained exclusively in large corporate environments will be advantageous only when accompanied by a demonstrated ability to operate entrepreneurially in a fast-moving business. Direct experience in every operational function is not required, but candidates must be able to lead technical and operational teams effectively.

Qualifications

We are deliberately flexible regarding academic background.

A university degree in business, engineering, agriculture, supply chain, or another relevant discipline would be advantageous, but equivalent business leadership experience is equally valued.

Selection will be based primarily on demonstrated leadership capability, business judgment, entrepreneurial ability, and a track record of execution rather than a particular technical qualification.

Why Join Agri Technovation?

This is an opportunity to help shape one of the Group’s most important and fastest-growing businesses.

You will join a company that values initiative, innovation, integrity, and execution, with direct access to Group leadership and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a business with ambitious long-term growth objectives.

If you are an entrepreneurial leader who enjoys building organizations, leading exceptional people, and turning ambitious plans into reality, we would welcome your application.

Location

This is an on-site position based in Fresno Area, California.
