About IPL

Investors Preferred Life Insurance Company (IPL) is a specialty private placement life insurance (PPLI) carrier serving sophisticated clients with complex investment needs. We are a focused, growing firm committed to delivering a high-quality client experience through precision, responsiveness, and thoughtful execution.

About the Role

We are hiring a Vice President of Operations to lead and elevate our operations function as we continue to grow.

This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across the business. You will oversee day-to-day operations while driving initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and overall performance.

A core mandate of this role is to rigorously assess how work gets done today, map key workflows end-to-end, and lead the optimization or redesign of those processes to create a more efficient, scalable operating model supported by the right systems and technology.

This role works closely in the details of operations and requires a hands-on approach to execution, with responsibility for both identifying opportunities and driving implementation.

This role reports to the President.

Key Responsibilities

•    Operations Leadership — Own the end-to-end operations function, including policy administration and case management. Establish clear service standards, operating metrics, and accountability for performance.

•    Process & Technology Transformation (Top Priority) — Systematically map core workflows, identify inefficiencies, and redesign processes to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. Lead the selection and implementation of tools, automation, and systems that materially reduce manual effort and enable more efficient operations.

•    Scalable Operating Model — Build repeatable processes, clear ownership structures, and performance metrics that support growth without proportional increases in complexity or cost.

•    Client Investment Operations — Oversee operational support of client investment activity, ensuring a high standard of responsiveness, accuracy, and client experience.

•    Team Leadership — Lead, coach, and develop the operations team while establishing clear expectations, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

What Success Looks Like

•    Core workflows are clearly defined, mapped, and consistently executed

•    Meaningful improvements in efficiency, turnaround times, and accuracy

•    Technology and systems are effectively supporting operations

•    Reduced operational friction and improved throughput

•    A disciplined, high-performing operations team

What We’re Looking For

•    Experience leading operations within life insurance, annuities, PPLI, or related financial services

•    A track record of improving and redesigning operational processes to drive measurable results

•    Hands-on experience implementing operational systems, tools, or workflow automation

•    Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive execution and change

•    A practical, systems-oriented mindset

•    Comfort working in a lean, fast-paced environment

•    Working familiarity with investments sufficient to support a client-facing function

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within a growing company and materially improve how it operates. You will work directly with leadership, drive meaningful change, and build a more scalable, modern operation that supports the company’s continued growth.

IPL is an equal opportunity employer.
