Position Summary

The Senior Vice President (SVP) plays a critical role in steering regional operations towards excellence and strategic alignment. This executive position focuses on optimizing financial performance, driving operational improvements, and fostering strong client relationships. The SVP will lead a high-performing team, ensure effective coordination across departments, and represent the company in key client and market engagements. 

This position is required to be based out of our Phoenix Corporate Office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts to streamline operational processes, enforce SOPs, and ensure consistent compliance across all properties.
  • Partner with RPM counterparts and the Operational Process Department to implement key initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and optimize cash management strategies, particularly for distressed assets, ensuring robust coordination with senior leaders.
  • Provide insightful updates on market performance and strategic initiatives to the Division President and senior leadership.
  • Engage in high-level client interactions, including executive strategy sessions and health calls, to reinforce relationships and address key issues.
  • Participate in new business pitches and evaluate financial aspects of potential deals to support strategic growth.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with direct reports, focusing on strategic RPM initiatives and addressing challenges with underperforming assets.
  • Drive the development of financial expertise within the team, ensuring ongoing training and professional growth.
  • Set and review ambitious goals for regional and professional development, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Develop and oversee the annual Corporate Budget and Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of regional financial performance, leveraging benchmarking data and Tableau reports to drive portfolio-wide success.
  • Guide financial discussions with clients, addressing performance metrics and strategizing adjustments to meet lender requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to risk mitigation plans, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory updates.
  • Manage staffing needs and collaborate with Recruiting to fill senior operational positions efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and coordinate with legal teams on critical contractual matters.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate management or a related field experience may substitute for education
  • 10+ years in property management leadership, with 6-8 years in executive leadership overseeing regional operations.
  • 3rd party management experience
  • A valid Driver's license is required
  • Business Development experience is a must
  • Knowledge of the property management industry, respective markets and industry competitors
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
  • Skilled in organization with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in customer service with a strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications
  • Skilled in Property Management Software such as Yardi, RealPage and Entrada and Revenue Management software such as LRO,AIRM and Yieldstar
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to build, lead and motivate large teams
  • Ability to think strategically, drive operational efficiency, and manage complex portfolios effectively.
