Early Childhood Vice Principal
Job Summary:
This is a Early Childhood Vice Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood or in a related educational field, preferably experience with Preschool through Grade 3
  • New Jersey Department of Education Principal Certificate
  • New Jersey Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3 or New Jersey Elementary School Teacher Certificate
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation; staff development and school improvement
  • Demonstrates knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
  • Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Resonsibilities
  • Assist in the development of instructional materials with a wide range of mental. Physical and emotional maturities suitable for the instruction of Early Childhood students.
  • Assists in the planning and coordinating the work of teacher aides, teacher assistance, parents, and volunteers in the classroom and on study trips to obtain the maximum benefit from their efforts.
  • Assists in developing activities for parents that promote parent participation and involvement in Early Childhood education activities for their children.
  • Assists in interpreting Early Childhood program to parents to strengthen understanding of the needs of Early Childhood students and the school's role in the student's life.
  • Assists in reviewing and making recommendations for the assessments used for evaluating students throughout the school year and the data obtained from the assessments.
  • Assists in developing and preparing budget that will provide for the instructional materials necessary for Early Childhood program, for staff development for all Early Childhood staff, and for other needs necessary for an effective program.
  • Assists in establishing and overseeing curriculum in response to districts goals and state requirements and assuring that curriculum is implemented in the classroom.
  • Assists with meeting with other program specialists and program directors to ensure that the Early Childhood program and the curriculum integrate with other district programs and the N.J. Student Learning Standards
  • Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of the Early Childhood Program and make recommendations for changes Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the attendance officer for investigative follow-up actions.
  • Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the school and deals with special cases as necessary.
  • Provides an orientation for all new staff personnel.
