Job description

The Prepress Technician is responsible for the processing of customer files in preparation for printing.
Shift 7 am-3 pm
A Prepress Technician will pre-flight, troubleshoot, prepare, and impose for final output. This position will include file processing, type and color corrections, proofing, and preparing files for plating.
Duties and responsibilities
โ€ข Work with Customer Service staff to prepare customer supplied files for proofing and production based on
customer directions and guidelines.
โ€ข Read and follow Job Ticket instructions.
โ€ข Prepare artwork for Offset printing, commercial and carton packaging.
โ€ข Prepare artwork for Flexo printing both conventional and digital production.
โ€ข Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and productivity.
โ€ข Participate in color management processes for Offset and Flexo divisions.
โ€ข Help with maintaining existing Proofing Systems.
โ€ข Help in maintaining and coordinating troubleshooting LTi Prepress Systems.
Qualifications
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
โ€ข Experience with Kodak software preferable including Prinergy Workflow, Kodak ColorFlow Pro, Preps,
and Pandora.
โ€ข Experience with CGS Oris Proofing Software a plus.
โ€ข Design experience with Adobe Creative Suite a must.
โ€ข Color Management experience a plus.
โ€ข Familiarity with variable data processing is a plus.
โ€ข Basic working skills utilizing Microsoft Office.
โ€ข Must have excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
โ€ข Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees, and management.
โ€ข Must be able to maintain good attendance.
โ€ข Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
โ€ข Must be a team player.
โ€ข This is a 1 st shift position currently.
