What You'll Do

As ourPrepress Operator, you'll prepare customer files for print production using industry-leading prepress software and equipment, ensuring files meet quality standards and are optimized for a variety of printing technologies.

  • Prepare and validate customer artwork for print production.
  • Perform preflight inspections and resolve file issues before production.
  • Create working files and impose files for the plate-making process.
  • RIP files for proofing and final production output.
  • Produce and inspect digital proofs for customer approval.
  • Prepare files for imposition and production.
  • Archive and retrieve production files using automated archival software.
  • Create step-and-repeat layouts using ESKO software.
  • Prepare spot coating vector artwork for flexographic plates.
  • Generate printing plates and production-ready files.
  • Review folding carton artwork for accuracy, completeness, and print readiness.
  • Manage color consistency using color profiles and calibration tools.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for embossing dies, stamping dies, and other specialty services.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, customers, and production teams to resolve artwork and technical issues.
  • Follow production schedules and work orders to ensure on-time delivery.

About You:

You're a fit for the role ofPrepress Operator, if your background includes:

  • Minimum3 years of Prepress experience, preferably in the packaging, label, or commercial printing industry.
  • Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Packaging Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of print production, file preparation, and imposition.
  • Experience with:
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe InDesign
  • ArtPro+
  • PC-based prepress systems
  • Experience withESKO software(or the ability to quickly learn ESKO applications) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of color management, RIP software, and digital proofing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot artwork and production issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
