The Lounge Receptionist & Concierge is a front-of-house authority responsible for first impressions, guest flow, sales precision, and maintaining the elevated standards of The Embassy Cigar Lounge. This role blends luxury hospitality, product knowledge, salesmanship, and meticulous space execution.
This position is ideal for individuals who are polished, confident, service-driven, and thrive in high-end environments where presence, urgency, and attention to detail matter. You are not simply greeting guests, you are curating their experience from arrival to departure.
This is an hourly + tipped position with strong earning potential and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Concierge Service
• Serve as the first point of contact, welcoming guests with warmth, confidence, and professionalism.
• Manage guest flow, seating, and transitions between parties with efficiency and poise.
• Actively check in on guest satisfaction and resolve needs proactively.
• Maintain awareness of the room to anticipate guest needs before they are requested.
• Support VIP members and returning guests with personalized service.
Cigar & Spirits Sales (Training Provided)
• Confidently recommend and sell premium cigars, spirits, and pairings with precision.
• Communicate flavor profiles, origins, and pairings in an approachable, refined manner.
• Execute cigar sales with accuracy, proper handling, and brand integrity.
• Promote memberships, events, and featured offerings through natural conversation.
• Consistently upsell in a way that feels curated, not transactional.
Space Reset, Cleanliness & Presentation
• Reset tables and lounge areas quickly and immaculately between guests.
• Restock cigars, service tools, menus, glassware, and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a pristine, elevated environment at all times.
• Ensure presentation aligns with luxury lounge standards.
Food Plating & Service Support
• Plate small bites and food orders with care, cleanliness, and visual consistency.
• Coordinate food delivery timing with the bar and lounge flow.
• Maintain sanitation and presentation standards during all food handling.
Organization, Urgency & Operational Support
• Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing side work thoroughly.
• Maintain strong organizational habits and time awareness.
• Operate with urgency while remaining calm and composed.
• Support the team with restocking, cleaning, and guest transitions without being prompted.
