What will I Do?
The Director of Ticketing & Premium Sales is responsible for creating standards and goals that support department/organizational objectives and the department's business plan. This position will craft a sales strategy specifically related to Salt Lake Bees single game tickets, ticket packages, vouchers, group and catered events, hospitality & premium products. By infusing innovation and accountability, they will manage and mentor their department to drive sales and hit annual business plan targets. The role champions the company's Mission and Vision and models the company Values.
The position will:
  • Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company.

  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership to understand the overall strategic direction of the department
  • Generate and develop new partner accounts and streamline handoff with Director of Membership Experience for retention of new partner accounts
  • Hire, manage, train, and mentor Sales Managers, Senior Account Executives and Ticket Sales Account Executives to ensure unity as a department and maintain the highest level of customer service and retention
  • Work with marketing to develop and execute proper marketing plans to sell season tickets, group tickets, picnics, suite leases, club seats and individual event suite rentals and single game tickets
  • Responsible for single game ticket revenue through online, box office and revenue department
  • Lead out on sales software; including but not limited to Salesforce, Ticketmaster, etc.
  • Manage incoming lead channels such as texting platform, inbound emails, website
  • Develop new and refine current strategies to enhance revenue channels and other revenue streams
  • Partner with Account Executives on calls and appointments with key accounts.
  • Manage within the boundaries of the department business plan. Develop weekly and monthly benchmarks to hold staff accountable for their influence on the business plan.
  • Report budget variances to leadership.
  • Manage and build Salesforce dashboards for reporting.
  • Create and build out new sales offers and collaborate with supporting departments to launch them.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments regarding operational aspects of non-game events, early entry, and game day needs.
  • Work a consistent number of games to support sales staff and overall ticketing efforts at the ballpark.
  • Manage and report updates for all corporate events to department heads and PSC.
  • Look for opportunities to improve margins by increasing revenue, reducing expenses, improving efficiencies
  • Provide stewardship over the department ticket sales efforts which includes generating reports and tracking toward a goal for new season tickets, group ticket sales, corporate events and premium product sales
  • Engage with Pro Sports Catering to ensure suite rentals are correct, food and beverage credits are applied and overall servicing of suites
  • Provide weekly agenda items for department team meetings
  • Conduct weekly one-on-ones with team to ensure that sales and service metrics are being achieved

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent training and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a background of sports sponsorship/ticket sales or related field preferred
  • Experience successfully managing a sales team
  • Must be proficient in database applications (preferably Google Suite, Microsoft, CRM)
  • Knowledge of ticketing software a plus
  • Experience managing a department budget
  • History of consistently achieving or sustaining sales goals
  • Must possess problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Must work well in team environment
  • Able to work flexible schedule when required, including evenings and weekends
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, proof of automotive insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and a willingness to travel frequently between the office and the ballpark
