What you will do
Role Overview:

The Predictive Diagnostics Analyst will support EDPR’s global fleet of generating assets. Your primary responsibilities are to detect, report, and document potential future failures in wind turbines, solar panels, or other electric systems and components using condition monitoring and data analytics. The primary data sources used by the analyst for that purpose are reliability data, vibration analyses, oil particles counters, lubrication condition data, and temperature data.   

Main responsibilities:
  • Detect failures using EDPR’s condition monitoring tools to analyze operational data. 
  • Communicate inspection recommendations to site managers and technicians clearly and support engineering teams in evaluation of such inspections/repairs. 
  • Assess asset condition of post inspection/repair using existing tools and communicate accordingly. 
  • Create quarterly reports summarizing detections (priority, value, component, status, etc.) and update internal tools/databases with findings and results. 
  • Lead/participate in project management of new condition monitoring opportunities within EDPR's fleet and prepare business cases for their profitability. 
  • Develop or assist in creating new monitoring strategies/tools using advanced data science techniques. Assist in development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing tools, data pipelines, reports. 
  • Collaborate with Performance Management teams using other monitoring technologies/platforms. 
  • Support and lead process improvements, quality metrics, and coordination calls as needed. 
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software 
  • 0-3 years of relevant technical experience[JS1] 
  • Basic proficiency of interest in[JS2]  data analysis and data science preferred, including familiarity with SQL, Python/R, PowerBI/Tableau and cloud platforms such as Azure/Databricks. 
  • Familiarity with planetary gearboxes, generators, solar, and power generation and conversion equipment preferred 
  • Project Management experience preferred 
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English & Spanish proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
