Job description

Position Summary

ACAL Precision Products is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. This position requires a highly skilled individual capable of independently setting up and operating CNC machinery, selecting tooling, interpreting blueprints, and determining the machining process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and experience working in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines independently
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling and workholding as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and engineering drawings
  • Determine machining sequence and manufacturing process from raw material to finished part
  • Verify dimensions and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications throughout run
  • Perform offsets, tool changes, and machine adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience required
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience setting up jobs independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to inspect parts using standard measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience

Experience with the following equipment and controls is strongly preferred:

  • Mazak
  • Okuma
  • Hurco
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
