Job description

Assistant Project Engineer
Summary:
The Assistant Project Engineer supports the Project Engineer and the rest of the project team by assisting with the coordination and execution of precast projects. This is a developmental role with a high level of supervision focused on gaining experience in project workflows, document handling, technical interpretation, and communication within the precast design process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Engineers in executing precast design tasks
- Review architectural and structural drawings to understand basic project scope with guidance
- Learn to read and interpret construction specifications with guidance
- Help track project progress through design, production, and erection phases
- Participate in internal and external meetings, taking notes and assisting with action items
- Assist in preparing RFIs and submittals to clients
- Support the maintenance of project files and document control on the company network
- Review erection drawings with support
- Help coordinate drawings from other trades with precast work
- Shadow and assist precast engineers in field repair design tasks

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 Annually
