Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to guide and control precast/prestressed concrete units into planned position to form completed structures or structural frameworks.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for properly guiding, placement, and alignment of precast/prestressed concrete units.
  • Responsible for assuring all bearing pads are in place and properly aligned.
  • Responsible for moving and maintaining controlled access zone warning lines and equipment.
  • Responsible for properly installing temporary bracing poles or bracing cable as required by precast engineer.
  • Must be qualified in the use of proper visual crane hand signals and be able to communicate concise voice commands by two-way radio.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
