Job description

Our client is seeking a Precast Engineer to lead the design and execution of structural concrete systems for complex construction projects. This role combines advanced engineering design with production and field coordination, requiring someone who understands both theory and real-world application.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze prestressed and precast concrete elements including beams, columns, wall panels, and foundation systems
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, shop drawings, and erection documents for accuracy and constructability
  • Coordinate with detailing, production, and field teams to ensure alignment between design intent and fabrication/installation
  • Support RFIs, submittals, and design revisions throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide technical support during production and erection, including troubleshooting and value engineering efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in precast/prestressed concrete design
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong understanding of PCI standards, structural analysis, and connection design
  • Experience supporting production processes and field erection coordination
