Beacon Behavioral Partners
Field-Based | Geography or Practice-Aligned

About Beacon Behavioral Partners

Beacon Behavioral Partners is a growing network of physician-driven psychiatric practices with over 25 years of management experience within the behavioral health industry. We believe sustained growth comes from strong local relationships, clinical credibility, and disciplined execution. Our referral outreach model is built on trust, consistency, and data-driven decision-making and this role is central to that strategy.

The Role

We are hiring a Practice Development Manager to own and grow referral relationships for one practice or a group of practices within a defined geography. This is a highly field-based, individual contributor role focused on driving sustained referral volume through consistent in-person relationship-building, education, and follow-through. Success in this role requires a strong presence in the community, with the majority of time spent meeting referral partners across the assigned geography rather than working from a desk or home office.

This role is goal-based and accountability-driven rather than purely quota-based. Success is measured by the health, consistency, and growth of referral relationships over time. The Practice Development Manager works closely with admissions, clinical leaders, marketing and operations to ensure referral partners experience Beacon as responsive, reliable, and easy to work with.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, values collaboration, and takes pride in building durable partnerships that directly impact patient access to care.

What You Will Do

Referral Growth & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources including:
    • Physicians and psychiatric providers
    • Therapists and counseling practices
    • Schools and universities
    • Hospitals, EDs, PHP/IOP programs
    • Community organizations
  • Own a defined territory or set of practices and serve as Beacon's primary referral partner contact
  • Drive sustained referral volume through consistent outreach and relationship stewardship
  • Convert new referral sources into active, ongoing partners

Field-Based Outreach & Education

  • Conduct in-person visits, drop-ins, presentations, and lunch-and-learns
  • Educate providers and staff on Beacon's practices services, referral process, and access points
  • Attend and represent Beacon's practices at local community events and professional meetings
  • Operate with a high level of field engagement, including daily travel within the assigned geography to build and maintain referral relationships.
  • Identify and address barriers to referral success in real time
  • Contribute relevant content to marketing team for social media initiatives

Referral Process & Collaboration

  • Work closely with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral handoffs
  • Reinforce best practices with our providers such as thank-you notes and patient progress updates
  • Share feedback from referral partners to improve workflows and communication
  • Ensure referral partners feel informed, valued, and supported

CRM & Accountability

  • Log all outreach, meetings, and relationship activity accurately in Beacon's CRM
  • Track activity, follow-ups, and referral trends within your territory
  • Use data to prioritize outreach, report impact and identify growth opportunities

How Success Is Measured

  • Sustained referral volume and consistency over time
  • Growth in active referral partners within assigned geography
  • Quality and frequency of referral source engagement
  • CRM data completeness and accuracy
  • Feedback from admissions, clinical teams, and referral partners

Who You Are

  • A relationship-first professional who thrives in face-to-face engagement
  • Growth-minded, accountable, and motivated by long-term impact
  • Consultative in style - you educate, influence, and earn trust
  • Organized and disciplined with follow-through and CRM usage
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Energized by building something and owning a market or practice

What You Bring

  • 3-6+ years of experience in healthcare outreach, physician liaison, business development, or referral-based growth roles
  • Proven success growing and maintaining referral relationships
  • Experience working with clinical providers and healthcare staff strongly preferred
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • CRM proficiency (Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field
  • High local travel expectation (approximately 80% field-based within assigned geography).

Why Beacon Behavioral Partners

  • Direct impact on patient access to behavioral health care
  • Autonomy and ownership within a defined market
  • Strong partnership with clinical, admissions, and marketing teams
  • Clear expectations, structured playbook, and measurable goals
  • Opportunity to grow into expanded responsibility as Beacon scales

You won't just be an outreach rep - you'll be a trusted partner in your community and a key driver of Beacon Behavioral Partners' growth.
