Community Business Development Representative โ€“ Bilingual Spanish
Mary Henry State Farm
Louisville, KY | Part-Time | Flexible Schedule

At Mary Henry State Farm, we believe business grows best when people do. We are deeply rooted in Louisville, where we help families and businesses protect what matters most. Weโ€™re not your typical insurance office โ€” weโ€™re a team that values relationships, community, and genuine connection.
Weโ€™re seeking an outgoing, bilingual Spanish, relationship-driven professional to serve as our Community Business Development Representative. In this role, youโ€™ll focus on building and maintaining referral partnerships with local professionals- mortgage brokers, realtors, apartment communities, small business owners, and other community partners. Youโ€™ll represent our agency in the community while developing creative ways to support our partners, help them grow their business, and increase awareness of ours. This position is not about quick โ€œmeet-and-greets.โ€ Itโ€™s about becoming a trusted connector โ€” someone who truly cares about helping others succeed.
Position Overview
This is a part-time position, with expected hours varying between 15โ€“25 hours per week depending on events, networking opportunities, and the activity level of the current week. A flexible schedule is important, as some events or partner meetings may take place outside of traditional office hours.
Insurance licensing is not required for this role unless responsibilities expand in the future.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with community professionals.
  • Develop and support relationships within English- and Spanish-speaking communities.
  • Identify opportunities to connect referral partners with helpful resources, introductions, and business growth opportunities.
  • Attend local networking events, community meetings, and partner visits to strengthen agency presence.
  • Generate qualified lead opportunities through trusted community relationships.
  • Represent the agencyโ€™s values of trust, care, and community in every interaction.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Developing 10โ€“15 active referral partners within the first 90 days.
  • Generating 20โ€“30 qualified personal and business leads per month.
  • Maintaining consistent communication with referral partners through visits, calls, events, and appreciation efforts.
  • Helping the agency become the first insurance recommendation among key community partners.

Requirements
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in business development, community outreach, networking, or relationship-based sales preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable attending community events, making introductions, and developing new professional relationships.

What We Offer

  • Base pay plus performance incentives.
  • Flexible part-time schedule, 15โ€“25 hours per week.
  • Supportive, growth-minded team environment with ongoing coaching and development.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the local business community.

Ideal Candidate
You love connecting people and ideas. You are bilingual in Spanish and English and are comfortable building relationships across diverse communities. You listen more than you talk. Youโ€™re known for following through, lifting others up, and turning introductions into partnerships. You are comfortable walking into a room, starting conversations, and finding meaningful ways to support local professionals.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Mary Henry State Farm is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all applicants and employees and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies.

Flexible work from home options available.
