Overview

The Practice Technology Analyst supports the implementation and adoption of legal technology platforms within practice groups, with a focus on AI-powered tools and practice efficiency solutions. This role assists others in the department in conducting technology evaluations, supporting pilot programs, and providing technical support for the firm's practice technology platforms. This position plays a vital role in expanding the use of innovative legal technologies to enhance lawyer efficiency and improve client service.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging legal technology platforms, including generative AI solutions and other practice innovations
  • Help prepare and maintain training materials, user guides, and knowledge base articles for practice technology platforms
  • Provide first-level technical support for practice technology platforms, troubleshooting issues and escalating complex problems when necessary
  • Help monitor technology adoption rates and system usage, creating reports to identify opportunities for increased engagement
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures
  • Assist with user onboarding and basic training for practice technology solutions
  • Stay informed about legal technology trends and developments through research and professional development
  • Participate in technology demonstrations and awareness sessions for practice groups
  • Assist with data gathering and analysis to support technology decision-making
  • Maintain communication with technology providers regarding support issues and feature requests
  • Comply with department and firm administrative procedures and policies
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal technology environment preferred.
  • Experience with legal software applications such as contract analysis tools or practice management platforms
  • Familiarity with GenAI legal technology platforms commonly used in law firms
  • Understanding of legal workflows and practice needs
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics concepts is desirable

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., & Los Angeles: $88,600 - $135,100ย 

New York City: $96,600 - $147,300ย 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
